Parkview Health must demonstrate a commitment to the protection of the rights and welfare of human subjects in research, as required by the agreement in our Federal Wide Assurance (FWA). We are able to demonstrate that commitment in part through the ongoing education of individuals and researchers who review, conduct and support research efforts.
Effective May 1, 2011, all researchers, Parkview Health Institutional Review Board (IRB) members, and IRB staff must complete the specified education modules provided by the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) online at https://www.citiprogram.org/ with an overall passing score of 80 percent or above. This practice fulfills the requirement for human subject research training at Parkview.
For more information, see the Policies and Procedures section and the IRB Policy “Training Requirements for Individuals Involved in Human Subject Research,” or call the PHIRB Office at (260) 266-8196.
