Parkview Health is the region’s largest employer, with 16,000 co-workers at 14 hospitals and more than 200 outpatient centers and physician offices. Both the region’s provider of choice and safety-net health system, Parkview is working to enhance access to affordable, high-quality care.

  • Maintains 319 inpatient beds across 8 rural community hospitals.
  • Built 3 new replacement community hospitals and added 1 new hospital in northeast Indiana.

  • Started a graduate medical education (GME) program to help ensure our region has the physicians we need—150 new physicians by 2030 from our program.

  • Host more than 2,600 students for hands-on learning experiences in Parkview facilities annually.
  • Partner with 44 high schools to support work-based learning experiences for students in Indiana and Ohio.
  • Gift 10+ Parkview clinicians to serve as clinical instructors of nursing and imaging to local colleges and universities.
  • Investments in multiple economic development projects, including Parkview Field and Electric Works, in partnership with local economic development organizations and local governments.

  • Pays more than $5 million in business personal property and real property taxes.
  • Top 10 taxpayer in 5 northeast Indiana counties.
Financial responsibility to ensure long-term sustainability
  • Maintains a strong bond rating to ensure access to capital.
  • Invests over $2 billion in facilities, preserving northeast Indiana’s largest community asset.
