President, Parkview Heart Institute and Physician Executive, Specialty Service Lines
Roy Robertson, MD, began serving as the president of the Parkview Heart Institute in January 2017. In 2023, he became president of the Parkview Heart Institute and specialty service lines for Parkview Health. In his role, Dr. Robertson partners with the chief operating officer of the Parkview Heart Institute and the senior vice president of specialty service lines to lead the growth, planning and overall strategy for cardiac and specialty care delivery at Parkview.
Dr. Robertson earned a medical degree with distinction from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his residency at Indiana University School of Medicine with the designation of outstanding internal medicine resident. Dr. Robertson’s fellowship in cardiology was completed at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, and he is board certified in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease. He is actively involved in several clinical trials and serves as a clinical associate professor of medicine for the Indiana University School of Medicine.
