Medical Director, Neuroscience Service Line
Fen-Lei Chang, MD, PhD, has served as the medical director for Parkview Neuroscience since 2017. Dr. Chang has also been the medical director of the Parkview Stanley Wissman Stroke Center since 2001. Dr. Chang serves as the chair of the Parkview Credentialing Committee and is a member of the Parkview IRB and Parkview Care Partners Quality Sub-committee.
Dr. Chang has also served as the director, associate dean and professor of neurology of the Indiana University School of Medicine-Fort Wayne since 2007. He became chair of the executive committee at IU Fort Wayne in 2018.
Dr. Chang is passionate about patient care, teaching and research. His main research areas from benchtop through translational research into clinical applications include neuroprotection and neuro-restoration against stroke and neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
Dr. Chang earned PhD and MD degrees from the University of Illinois. He completed his neurology residency at the Mayo Clinic.
