Virtually access walk-in care 24/7, nationwide

With the Virtual Walk-in Clinic, you can talk to a provider with access to your medical record and medication history from your smartphone, tablet, or computer - receiving the same level of care as an in-person visit at a walk-in clinic. Providers are available to treat and diagnose non-emergency medical issues 24/7 in all 50 United States. And if prescriptions are necessary, they can be sent right to your pharmacy of choice.

Common conditions treated include:

  • Cold, cough, flu
  • Allergies
  • Pink eye
  • Sore throat
  • Respiratory issues
  • Sinus problems
  • Skin problems
  • And more!

Insurance is accepted; however, during extended service availability and overnight hours, periods of high volume, or while traveling outside of Indiana or Ohio, visits are $59.

You do not need an existing relationship with a Parkview provider.

Virtual Walk-In Clinic is available for patients of all ages. Patients under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present during online visits.

Who is a Virtual Walk-In Clinic video visit for?

This service is open to anyone nationwide, even if you don’t have a Parkview provider.

Some appointments require a physical, hands-on assessment and may not qualify for a video visit. MyChart is not to be used for urgent healthcare needs. For medical emergencies, call 911 or go to emergency room.

What consult methods are available?

You can talk with a provider by phone or video within the MyChart mobile app (preferred) or the secure web portal.

How can I prepare before my video visit?
  • Download and use the Parkview MyChart app on your mobile device.
  • If you are using a computer, ensure it has a camera, microphone and the most current version of Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox.
  • Find a quiet, well-lit location with a Wi-Fi or cellular connection.
  • Next, complete the eCheck-In process and click submit. This process must be completed before the video visit can begin.
Does this service replace my PPG physician or family care provider?

No. Virtual Walk-In Clinic does not replace your primary care physician. It is one option you can use when you need quick care for non-emergency medical issues. It is a convenient alternative to walk-in clinic and non-emergency ER visits.

How do I request a video visit with a provider?

Download the free Parkview MyChart app, log in to your MyChart account and select “Virtual Walk-In Clinic”. If you do not have a MyChart account, select “Sign Up Now”.

What are the technical requirements for a video visit?

Video visits require a MyChart account, the use of a smartphone, tablet, or computer, an internet connection and a working camera and microphone.

We highly recommend using a smartphone for your video visit.

If you are using a computer, install and open the most current version of Google Chrome, Safari or Firefox before your video visit.

How will I get my prescription?

During the eCheck-In process, select your preferred pharmacy. When your visit is complete, the provider can prescribe medically appropriate short-term medications for a wide range of conditions. Your prescription can then be sent electronically to your desired pharmacy.

What are the hours for Virtual Walk-In Clinic video visits?

Video visits are available 24/7 anywhere in the United States.

How much does it cost?

Virtual Walk-in is staffed by Parkview providers in Indiana 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. daily and in Ohio Monday - Friday 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Outside of these hours and locations, or if Parkview providers aren’t available, or wait times are long, you have the option to see one of our partner providers who are available 24/7 in all 50 states. As an expanded service, the cost for seeing one of our partner providers is currently a flat $59 charge. If you are in Indiana or Ohio seeing a Parkview provider through the Virtual Walk-In clinic, we are able to bill insurance and your out of pocket cost will be your applicable co-pay.

Co-payment will be based on your insurance coverage. For those without insurance, this service will be billed as an office visit.

Does my geographic location matter for a video visit?

No. This service is available anywhere in the 50 United States.

How do I start a visit for my child?

Log in to MyChart for your child with proxy access. Switch to proxy for your child BEFORE entering the queue. This will ensure that the visit is requested for the child and not the parent. Proxy access lets parents log into their MyChart account to see the medical information for their children and loved ones they represent. Please note that requesting proxy access can take up to three business days.
