Professional support is available to new moms and their significant others who are experiencing postpartum depression, anxiety during pregnancy or general depression. Sarah Wolfe, BSN, RN, IBCLC, FCN, CPST, Parkview Whitley Hospital, and Alainna Martin, BSN, RN, Parkview Whitley Hospital, are trained by Postpartum Support International to help you get back to feeling like yourself again. Postpartum depression can last up to a year after the arrival or loss of your baby. Please know you are not alone, and you are not to blame. Parkview offers resources for individuals who may be experiencing a perinatal mood and/or anxiety disorder. A peer support group offered at Parkview Regional Medical Center’s Family Birthing Center provides a safe in-person environment for mothers navigating motherhood, mood changes, and mental health.
