When it comes to a weekly food budget, there are some strategies that can help you stay in the budget you have set for your household.

Write down your grocery list. Plan your meals for the week and then shop according to what you need to prepare them.

Consider doing an online pickup order. Not going in the store can help you avoid temptations as you walk through the aisles. If this isn't an option, do your best to stick to the list you brought.

Keep it whole. As you're going throughout the aisles, remember that whole foods may be more economically feasible, as processed foods can be more expensive. The first section when grocery shopping tends to be the produce. We do encourage utilizing fresh fruits and vegetables. Keep in mind seasonal produce does tend to be a little bit cheaper and should stay fresher, longer. For your grains, pastas tend to stretch that dollar a little bit more.
