WARSAW, IND. – Jan. 22, 2020 – To better serve Warsaw and the surrounding communities, Parkview Warsaw will be expanding to become a full-service hospital. Plans include space for up to 30 inpatient beds, surgical services and additional specialty care.
As inpatient services become available, the facility will be renamed Parkview Kosciusko Hospital, reflecting its ability to better serve the entire county. Parkview Warsaw, which opened in 2016, currently offers outpatient services, including primary care, specialty clinics, rehabilitation therapy, imaging and an emergency department.
“As Parkview continues to grow in Kosciusko County, we look forward to embracing the community as a full-service hospital that offers comprehensive care,” said Jeffrey Rockett, vice president, outpatient services, Parkview Warsaw. “Building on the success of Parkview Warsaw, Parkview Kosciusko Hospital will increase access to high-quality care and reduce the need for residents to travel outside the county to see a Parkview provider.”
The project will be completed in phases, starting with the build-out of existing shell space on the third floor of the facility. Plans also call for a 44,000-square-foot expansion on the west side of the facility, and a new medical office building on the campus.
All plans are subject to local government approval. An architect for the project has not yet been selected. Groundbreaking is tentatively set for the spring of 2020, with all services projected to be available in 2022.
