According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, someone has a heart attack every 40 seconds in the United States alone. Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the most common type of heart disease in the United States and is the leading cause of death in both men and women. CAD usually develops over time, often going unnoticed until there’s a significant blockage, resulting in a heart attack. With such startling statistics, it is important to take steps to prevent and treat CAD before it’s too late.
