Proud to Bleed Green: Cameron

People of Parkview

Cameron McWilliam, EMS paramedic, Parkview Whitley Hospital, has been with Parkview for almost one year.

After completing his EMT basic in North Dakota, Cameron moved to Indiana, where he earned his associate degree in paramedic science. A friend recommended that Cameron join the Parkview family. "She said how great it was and all the benefits, and I came out here," he said.

Cameron's innate drive to help others and the excitement of the ever-changing environment inspired his career choice in paramedicine. "The best part of my job is being able to go out and meet people where they are and help them exactly where they are," he said. "Every day it's new scenery, meeting completely different people, going to different hospitals, different ERs."

Parkview pride

Cameron jokingly remarked that in addition to the great benefits and tasty cuisine served in the Parkview Regional Medical Center cafeteria, the dedication to co-worker support and care is unparalleled.

"The mental health support here is amazing. After any serious or critical call, no matter what time it is, someone from the Whitley management team will probably show up here at the station to talk to you, check in on you, and see how you're doing," he said. "Bleed Green means that everyone here is working as a team to better patient outcomes."

Join the team

"If someone's thinking about joining the Parkview team, I would say do it. The culture here is amazing; it's the best I've ever seen in EMS," Cameron said. "They treat you really good here and they invest in their people."
