Virtual health

With widespread adoption of social distancing, many people are seeking ways to see a health care provider for common illnesses without going into a doctor’s office. During this time of heightened awareness of COVID-19 and influenza, having the option to see a provider from the comfort of your home can limit your exposure to other illnesses.

Virtual care allows you to talk to a provider through video on a smartphone, tablet or computer. To better meet the increasing interest in virtual health options, and to protect our patients and providers, Parkview has expanded its offerings. Patients with health concerns unrelated to COVID-19 can use several Parkview telehealth resources.

Virtual health options

Parkview currently offers patients three convenient avenues for online care.

MyChart Video Visits with a Parkview provider

Parkview MyChart offers you the option to talk with a Parkview provider through a video visit.  Video visits are available from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., 7 days a week. Insurance is now accepted for MyChart video visits. Co-payment will be based on your insurance coverage. For those without insurance, this service will be billed as an office visit.

The benefits of Parkview MyChart are open to anyone, even if you don’t have a Parkview provider. To get started, create an account here. If you have questions, call 855-853-0001 or email [email protected].

MyChart Video Visits with your Parkview provider

If you have a PPG Family Medicine or PPG Pediatrics provider, Parkview MyChart now offers you the option to talk with your specific provider through a video visit.  Video visits are available during individual provider office hours. Insurance is now accepted for MyChart video visits. Co-payment will be based on your insurance coverage. For those without insurance, the call will be billed as an office visit. Call your provider’s office to ask about scheduling a video visit.

To use either MyChart video option, log on to your MyChart account or create one. To connect with your own provider, you will find your visit under your “Appointments” icon.  For visits anytime from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. with the next available provider, select the “Talk to a Provider” icon. You must be in Indiana to use these services. For additional account support, call 855-853-0001 or email [email protected].
