69th North Side Relays

North Side is excited to announce the 69th North Side Relays will take place on 4/16/2022 with a Noon start time. Current North Side Relay’s 100m Dash record holder and NFL Hall of Famer Rod Woodson will serve as our honorary referee. Rod Woodson set that record in 1983. He will be recognized at 1:45pm in that role. He will briefly speak about the role track and field played in his life. He will then stick around to watch some of Northeast Indiana’s finest compete in track and field. Admission for the North Side Relays is $6.00. 18 teams will be competing for what will be the most competitive boys track and field meet in Fort Wayne until the Sectional Track and Field Meet on May 19th.

2nd Legend Relays

North Side is also excited to announce the 2nd Legend Relays which is a new track and field invitational in Fort Wayne. The Legend Relays is an all-female track and field meet that will take place this year on Thursday 4-14-2022 under the lights at Chambers Field. The meet starts at 6pm. 9 teams will compete for Legendary performances. Last year saw 14 new meet records established. There have been 2 events added to this meet this year. We are guaranteed to see at least 2 new meet records. However, I anticipate many more records to fall throughout this evening. Throughout the track and field meet North Side will pay homage to some of the fine female athletes that have participated in athletics for North Side. Admission for the Legend Relays is $6.00.

1st Unified Relays at North Side

Hosting Northeast Indiana and quite possibly all of Indiana’s largest unified invitational track and field meet was a no brainer for North Side, who is no

stranger to championship level track and field meets. This meet will be simply amazing. We have 16 teams from around the north half of the state all converging on Chambers Field on May 7th, 2022. This meet will build upon the collaborative nature of unified sports and creates a “relay” out of every single race or event. There will be 4 pods of 4 teams each that will compete against one another throughout the day. Admission to the Unified Relays is $6.00 with the meet starting at Noon. Our honorary referee for the 1st Unified Relays will be a Fort Wayne Native and Olympic Medalist. This new premier track and field event in Northeast Indiana will quickly become a must see event.
