South Side High School senior Olivia Smith will cap off a tremendous high school career this summer while playing for the Indiana All-Stars team.

The Archer guard's selection to the prestigious squad of 14 senior girls across the state came Tuesday in an announcement from The Indianapolis Star.

Olivia averaged 19.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 2.8 steals per game as senior. She earned All-Summit Athletic Conference honors for a fouth-straight season, and two-year team captain.

"I feel very privileged to have been her coach, to watch her grow into this phenomenal athlete and incredible young lady," head coach Juanita Goodwell said. "This season, Olivia had to step up as a dominant scorer and facilitator. She worked tirelessly to keep her team competitive in every match.

For her career, Olivia averaged 15.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.6 steals per game. Her 1,310 career points is second most in school history. Her 300 career assists stands a South Side record. She signed her national letter of intent with Eastern Michigan University. She plays her club basketball at Always100.

Joining her on the Indiana All-Star team is Homestead standout Ayanna Patterson, who was named Indiana Miss Basketball last week. Homestead head coach Rod Parker was named head coach of the Indiana All-Star team, which will play a home-and-home series with the Kentucky senior All-Stars on June 10 in Owensboro, Kentucky, and June 11 in Southport, Indiana.
