South Side High School girls basketball coach Juanita Goodwell notched her 200th career victory Friday night in the Archers' 66-59 win over Concordia.

Goodwell's milestone comes in the latter stages of her 13th season on the South Side sidelines.

"While statistics and wins grab headlines, Coach Goodwell’s impact on the lives of the young ladies she is coaching, will coach, and has coached cannot be measured," South Side athletic director Torrey Curry says. "She is a living example for our young ladies, and we are seeing that impact as more women enter the coaching profession."

During her time at South Side, Goodwell has led the Archers to two Summit Athletic Conference championships, five Parkview Sports Medicine SAC Holiday Tournament titles, seven sectional titles, two regional titles, one semi-state title and a 4A state runner-up finish in 2013.

Goodwell became the all-time winningest girls coach in 2015, and is second among all basketball coaches at South Side behind Don Reichert's 234 wins with the boys programs from 1951 to 1967.
