Guy Lee takes over as South Side football coach

South Side High School has turned to a former assistant coach to take over the Archers football program.

Guy "Tiny" Lee's hiring as the new football head coach was approved by the Fort Wayne Community Schools board on May 11.

Lee was part of Grady Pruitt's staff at South Side in the 1990s and Heritage High School from 2011 to 2014. He has spent time in high school, indoor and youth football for the better part of the last 30 years. In was inducted into the American Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 2010.

Lee graduated from and played football for Bellmont High School. He owns his own business in Decatur; and his wife teaches at South Side.
