Five Wayne High School seniors made their college choices official on May 5. The student-athletes held a signing ceremony at the school to celebrate the occasion.
Jenard Freeman signed with Indiana Tech men's basketball. The wing player scored 7.8 points and 2.0 for the Generals this past season. He plans to study sports management.
Gianni Lagrone signed with Bluffton University football. The defensive tackle tallied 36 tackles (16 solo), 3.5 sacks and 2 recovered fumbles in his senior campaign. He plans to study sports management.
Jamari Tabb signed with football at the University of Saint Francis. He netted 21 tackles (10 solo) and 2.5 sacks this past season. Jamari plans to study exercise science.
Joining Tabbi at USF is Christian Flannigan. As a senior, the wide receiver caught 19 passes for 238 yards and 5 touchdowns. He added 18 tackles and 2 interceptions on defense. Christian, too, will study exercise science.
Jaden Gonzalez signed with Marian University baseball. Returning to the diamond after his junior season was canceled, Jaden is hitting .306 with 15 hits, 10 runs, 14 RBI. For his career, he's batting .258. Jaden will study business management.
