Snider High School wrestling teammates Reakus Shelton and Amir Williams made their college choices official on April 19, putting pen to paper during a signing ceremony at the school.
Reakus signed with Indiana Tech wrestling. He won the Summit Athletic Conference championship in the 132-lb. weight class and was runner-up at the Carroll Regional. He advanced to the second round of the semi-state tournament. He earned the team mental attitude award, as well. He plans to study sports management.
Amir signed with the University of Chicago, an NCAA Division III program in the Second City. Amir wrestled at Snider for two seasons, earning Academic All-State as a senior and the team's dedication award the end of this season. He plans to study political science.
Snider is one of 26 high schools that partner with Parkview Sports Medicine for athletic training, nutrition, sports performance, athletic rehab and other sports medicine services for Panther student athletes.
