West Noble approves 3 coaching changes

WEST NOBLE

West Noble High School filled three coaching vacancies at the corporation's school board meeting May 26.

JEFF BURNSJeff Burns has been elevated to the new girls basketball coach. A 2001 West Noble graduate, he spent the last 14 seasons as an assistant coach for the Lady Chargers. Thirteen of those seasons were under to Dale Marano, who retired at the end of the seasons. 

"West Noble is proud to announce the hiring of Jeff," athletic director Tom Schermerhorn said in a statement. "(He) has been instrumental in the success of the girls." 

KAITY LOGAN

Kaity Logan is the new West Noble volleyball coach. She was as an assitant coach for the past 2 seasons, including the Lady Chargers' run to the Regional Final in 2018. 

"Kaity brings playing and coaching experience with her and is looking forward to having some familiar faces assist in her program," Schemerhorn said. 
 

MIKE FLORAMike Flora will run the boys cross country team at West Noble. Flora, who teaches at West Noble Elementary School, replaces longtime coach Rusty Emmert, who stepped down after last season.

"I love the passion and energy Mike has for running," Schemerhorm said. "Flora brings an extensive coaching history in cross country and track at West Noble and Westview."
