As Antwerp boys basketball continues its best season in school history, the Archers' head coach is being honored by his peers.
Doug Billman was named Coach of the Year by the Northwest Ohio District 7 Coaches Association.
Billman has led the Archers to a 22-0 regular season, their first Green Meadows Conference in 9 years and a No. 2 ranking in the Division IV polls heading into the OHSAA state tournament. They earned a bye in the first round, and will face the winner of Stryker and Hilltop on February 28 in the Napoleon sectional semi-final.
This is Billman's fourth season as head coach of Antwerp.
