November 16, 2019

More than a half-century of contributions to North Side High School athletics came to a close Friday night when Don Hunter worked his final game for the Legends.

Hunter was recognized November 15 at halftime of the North Side girls basketball game against Huntington North. He was presented a plaque honoring his decades of service.

Hunter has been a part of the North Side community since 1967. He taught and coached wrestling and football through 2002.  After retirement, Hunter still helped in an array of North Side athletic events. Hunter was inducted into the North Side Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018.
