Beth Herrell, PSM head athletic trainer at Huntington University, has been named 2023-24 Crossroads League Athletic Trainer of the Year.
Beth was voted Crossroads League Athletic Trainer of the Year by fellow athletic trainers at CL-member schools. The honor was announced July 9 as part of the conference’s end-of-academic-year awards. This is the second year the Crossroads League has awarded the Athletic Trainer of the Year.
"I am honored to be selected by my colleagues as the Crossroads League Athletic Trainer of the Year," Beth says. "I am so fortunate to be able to work alongside so many great athletic trainers throughout the Crossroad League.”
Beth has served as an athletic trainer at Huntington since 2004 and became head athletic trainer in April of 2007. Beth primarily coves the men's basketball, women's soccer and softball teams, but provides expert care to hundreds of Forester student-athletes each year.
“I would like to thank all the Huntington University coaches and administration for all their support of the athletic training staff,” Beth adds. “I want to thank and recognize my athletic training team—Chris Burton and Quinn Wiley—for all their hard work and dedication in helping to provide excellent care to every person who steps into the Huntington University athletic training room.
“I want to thank my family for all their love, encouragement and sacrifices for the demands of my career,” she says.
