Meet the Program Director
Kyle Littell, MD, FAAPMR
Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about the opportunity to complete your Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency program here at Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
First, let me take a moment to share who I am - after all, we may be spending three of your professionally formative years together. I am the Program Director of Parkview’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program. I am originally from Tennessee and have traveled around the country to end up in Fort Wayne. I went to college near Chattanooga, Tennessee at Southern Adventist University, then medical school at Loma Linda University in California, and completed my residency at University of Colorado. I worked at Indiana University for several years with a variety of leadership, clinical and teaching roles. These were wonderful experiences, and I enjoyed all of them. I have a passion for teaching and want you all to gain the knowledge you need to be incredible physicians. Parkview drew me here given the focus on growth and innovation with the Vision: “You are at the center of everything we do, as an individual, as an employer and as our community.” This is in part evidenced by starting a brand-new PM&R residency program in 2024. This will expand the reach of physical medicine and rehabilitation in this growing community. I am very excited to be starting this journey with you.
This brings me to the key elements of Parkview’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program. It is important for me to develop a program that provides our residents an accurate, in-depth, and current education to treat patients with compassion, a systems-based understanding and cutting-edge technology. That is what you will find here.
The world is changing. Our patients are changing and how they access care is changing. Here at Parkview, you will receive the training to be a modern physician. Over the last few years, we saw how life requires adaptability. Whether academic medicine, private practice, outpatient, or inpatient services are in your future career paths, you will gather the experience and training for it here. And as part of our residency, you will be a part of Parkview’s history and future. This is an exciting time. You are starting to write your career story. Let us be a part of these first few chapters, and we will always be there as supporting characters in the chapters to come.
We look forward to hearing from you.
