Patients & Visitors

Parkview Welcomes You

Parkview Health believes that visitors are important to the healing process, and we welcome family and friends to spend time with their loved one to provide support. We encourage visitors to come in small groups of two to three, and to refrain from visiting when you have cold or flu symptoms. To avoid spreading germs, we recommend frequent hand washing or the use of hand sanitizer when you are visiting a patient.

You are our partner in the care of your loved one, and we encourage you to seek assistance from the nursing staff with any concerns. Our patient advocates and customer service teams want to know about your Parkview experience. While the patient’s nurse or physician is your immediate contact when concerns arise, patient advocates will also listen closely to your concerns, investigate your questions and respond in a timely manner. Our goal is to provide an excellent experience for every patient, every day.

Tobacco-free facilities

All Parkview Health campuses are tobacco-free. No tobacco use of any kind is permitted – inside or outside – on our property. Parkview’s decision to go tobacco-free is our ongoing commitment to a healthier work environment and to a better experience for our patients and their families. For more information and resources regarding tobacco cessation, please visit

Cell phones

Please be aware that cell phone use is restricted in some areas of the hospital due to possible interference with biomedical equipment. Please check with a member of our care team if you have questions about areas in the building where you may use your cell phone.

Staying in touch with family and friends during your hospital stay is important. Parkview offers CaringBridge — a free, private website that connects family and friends during a serious health event, care and recovery.

Creating and updating your own CaringBridge website is easy — you can add health updates and photos to share along with your story. You can also receive messages of support in the guestbook.

For more information, or to create your own CaringBridge website, visit For assistance, select the "Help" link, or call (615) 789-2300, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Central time, Monday through Friday.
