As a patient at the Comprehensive Cancer Center inpatient oncology unit, you should expect compassionate care when it comes to your physical and emotional needs.
Located on the second floor of Parkview Regional Medical Center, the unit features private rooms and includes hospice and palliative care rooms. A comfortable family lounge provides a relaxation space for you and your family apart from the individual patient rooms.
You are also welcome to take advantage of internet access for research. If you need a break, take advantage of hospital amenities like the gift shop and restaurant, which are just a quick elevator ride away.
Treatments at the inpatient unit include chemotherapy and/or biotherapy. Some patients are admitted to the unit for management of symptoms such as infection, nausea, vomiting or pain. Radiation therapy is primarily administered at the cancer center’s outpatient facility, which is connected to the Parkview Regional Medical Center.
