There are many clinical trial opportunities at Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center in collaboration with the Parkview Research Center. For more than 30 years, Radiation Oncology Associates and Fort Wayne Medical Oncology & Hematology have collaborated to conduct clinical trials at Parkview. The collaboration continues to grow to include specialties such as Parkview Physicians Group Urology, Parkview Physicians Group Cardiovascular Surgery, and Parkview Physicians Group Gastroenterology physicians to provide the ability to offer many valuable and exciting clinical trial opportunities.
There are more than 50 trials available to participate in at any given time being offered by Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center and Fort Wayne Medical Oncology Hematology.
The ability to participate in national and international clinical trials is readily available at Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center serving the regional Northeast Indiana, Southern Michigan, Northwest Ohio and surrounding communities.
Clinical Trials Close to Home
Clinical trials are studies that involve patients who make informed decisions to volunteer to participate in medical care that may not be widely available. Participants may gain access to emerging medical treatments while contributing to medical research and possible breakthroughs, helping to set improved standards of treatments in cancer care.
Current Clinical Trials
Clinical trials at Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center are made available through the Cancer Trials Support Unit, a service of the National Cancer Institute, Cancer and Leukemia Group B, the University of Chicago Cancer Research Center, the Hoosier Oncology Group, Radiation Therapy Oncology Group, and multiple industry sponsored trials.
