If you or someone you love needs to regain mobility and independence in their recovery after a hospital stay, the Parkview Continuing Care Center can help with skilled nursing care and rehab. Located inside Parkview Hospital Randallia, the center is a welcoming space, offering plenty of amenities, care by experienced staff, and access to hospital services as needed.

  • 35 private rooms plus six flexible rooms (private or double)
  • Easy-access bathrooms
  • Wide hallways with handrails
  • In-room storage for personal belongings
  • Pressure-reducing mattresses for greater comfort
  • Entertaining and engaging activities
  • Three dining/activity areas

Patients can also:

  • Wear comfortable clothes
  • Eat meals with friends and family in the dining areas
  • Take part in entertaining, therapeutic activities

Treatment

The goal of treatment is to enable patients to care for themselves to the best of their abilities. Care team members work together with patients and family members. Each patient’s care plan is based on individual needs; physical, occupational and speech therapies are emphasized, with additional focus on wound care and IV antibiotic management.

Admission/Discharge

  • Physician referral is required for admission

  • Patients must meet Medicare/insurance program admission criteria and requirements of an admission review team

  • Insurance information is verified prior to admission, and coverage is discussed with patient family members

  • Length of stay is based on recovery pace, physician judgment, insurance and Medicare requirements for skilled care; an average stay is about two to three weeks

  • At admission, any needs the patient may have following discharge are discussed, including home healthcare, medical equipment, transportation, nursing home placement, counseling or other services

The Parkview Continuing Care Center is licensed by the State of Indiana and certified by Medicare to provide skilled nursing care.
