Parkview Noble Hospital offers a full complement of orthopedic services, including surgery with staff orthopedic surgeon, Matthew Grothaus, MD. His office is located inside Parkview Noble Hospital
in the physician specialty clinic area.
He treats a wide variety of orthopedic conditions, including:
Total joint replacement of knee, hip and shoulder
Upper extremity – shoulder, elbow and hand
Lower extremity – hip and knee
Reconstruction of the hip and knee
Soft tissue such as carpel tunnel and tendon repair
Matthew Grothaus, MD is board certified
in orthopedic surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic
Surgeons. Dr. Grothaus has a special interest in sports and occupational
Dr. Grothaus earned his medical degree
from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio. He completed his orthopedic
residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He is fellowship-trained
in hand and upper extremity from The Indiana Hand Center, Indianapolis, IN.

Getting here is easy. Parkview Noble Hospital is located at 401 Sawyer Road, Kendallville, Ind., 46755. The hospital is just ¼ mile west of the U.S. 6 and State Road 3 intersection in Noble County. To contact the hospital, call (260) 347-8700 or (888) 737-9311 toll free.
Free parking is available in the main hospital parking lot, directly in front of the hospital or in the emergency parking lot in the east side of the hospital.
Our visitation policy is based on the needs of each patient. Please check with the unit nurse to make sure the patient you are visiting is well enough and wanting visitors.
A room service style menu is provided to ensure excellent customer service. You may order your meal between the hours of 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. by calling ext. 78021. Or if you prefer, a nutrition services hospitality associate will visit you before meals to take your food order. A Parkview registered dietitian is available for consultation should you have questions or need assistance with any special dietary needs.
Parkview Noble Cafe
Guests may also enjoy dining in the Parkview Noble Hospital Café. It is located on the lower level of the hospital and is open to all guests. It is open daily from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. and offers meals at the following times:
Breakfast 7 – 9:30 a.m.
Lunch 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Dinner 5 – 7 p.m.
Guests who are unable to dine in during regular business hours may purchase prepared food from a café staff member. Food selection is limited. Cash or check is accepted.
The Parkview Noble Hospital Gift Shop is located on the first floor by the main entrance. It features a wide assortment of figurines, jewelry, gift items, inspirational items, snacks, candy and beverages. Hours are 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday thru Friday; closed Saturday and Sunday.
An interfaith chapel for private prayer and meditation is located on the first floor.

Every patient room is equipped with a television at no extra charge. A television channel guide is available in your room. There are health education shows broadcast as well as regular programming.
Parkview Noble Hospital is WIFI accessible with Internet capabilities for patients and guests. Laptop computers are available for patients to checkout and use during a stay at the hospital. Please ask your nurse to request a laptop for you.
A selection of current DVD movies is available for your viewing on the laptops as well. Again, please ask your nurse what titles are available.
The use of cell phones is restricted in some areas of Parkview Noble Hospital. The preferred areas for cell phone use include the front lobby, emergency waiting area and family waiting area on second floor or anywhere outside the building. If you are unsure, please check with a staff member in the area you are to see if cell phone use is permitted.
