We’re with you all the way as you navigate your orthopedic health from diagnosis to treatment and recovery. Club Ortho, a free patient therapy and recovery program, provides you with the information you need and gets you moving after surgery.
How does it work?
Members are encouraged to have a family member serve as “coach” to assist them with activities and therapies.
You’ll attend classes with your coach to learn together about your surgery and rehabilitation. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions at all Club Ortho classes for more interactive learning. In addition, you’ll have access to Parkview Ortho Hospital’s free web-based pre-operative education.
After surgery, you’ll return to your regular daily activities as soon as possible. Nurses, therapists and orthopedic physician coordinate pain medication based on your activity level.
Club Ortho members are most often discharged from the hospital two or three days after the operation. Parkview Ortho Hospital's surgical care coordinators help you plan your post-operative needs before surgery.
Through the Club Ortho education process, you’ll learn to expect the best outcome. Your role is important to your own success. When your program is complete, you’ll have an opportunity to cheer with a celebration meal.
