Dupont Road construction: Expect delays

Dupont Road construction – Spring/Summer/Fall 2014:

Throughout the construction season this year, crews will be working to change the flow of traffic over the Dupont Road/I-69 bridge into what’s called a diverging diamond interchange. The large project will require crews to restrict some lanes during this construction season and, in some cases, change the flow of traffic. If you are a regular visitor of the Parkview Regional Medical Center campus, feel free to bookmark this page, as we will provide updates throughout the season giving you more information ahead of your visit. You can also visit http://www.in.gov/indot/2894.htm to learn more about the project.

Update: Tuesday, May 27, 2014

Beginning today, Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) crews will be closing two lanes of traffic on Dupont Road at the I-69 interchange. The eastbound and westbound lanes nearest the center divider will be closed for approximately the next three weeks.

Crews will be creating temporary, shorter turn lanes for eastbound Dupont Road traffic turning left onto Parkview Plaza Drive. Another temporary, shorter turn lane will be created for westbound Dupont Road traffic turning left onto I-69 southbound. Shorter turn lanes will result in backed-up traffic at peak times if current use of these locations continues through the construction period.

Due to the possibility of traffic delays, anyone with a scheduled visit with their physician should add extra minutes to their drive time, if possible.
