Parkview Regional Medical Center awarded the Midas+ Platinum Quality Award for excellence in clinical outcomes

Parkview Regional Medical Center is the first hospital in the state to be recognized as a top-performer in the Midas+ Platinum Quality Award program. The Midas+ Platinum Quality Awards recognize industry leadership and hospital excellence, and are based on achievement and data-driven performance. Midas+ Solutions grants the Platinum Quality Award to organizations that score in the top five percent among their eligible peers in the Midas+ Comparative Database, which consists of nearly 800 hospitals. Peer groups are divided into three categories: Average daily census less than 100, average daily census between 100 and 200, and average daily census greater than 200. Parkview Regional Medical Center was selected as a top performer in the average daily census greater than 200 category.

100 Top Hospitals® by Truven Health Analytics™

Parkview Huntington Hospital

The Truven Health 100 Top Hospitals® study identifies hospitals and leadership teams that provide the highest level of value to their communities, based on a national balanced scorecard measuring overall organizational performance across 11 key analytic measures including patient care, operational efficiency, and financial stability. The study has been conducted annually since 1993. This is the first time Parkview Regional Medical Center has been recognized and the third consecutive year Parkview Huntington Hospital has been recognized with this honor. Parkview Regional Medical Center was recognized in the Teaching Hospital category and Parkview Huntington in the small community hospital category.

Parkview LaGrange Hospital earns national performance leadership award

Parkview LaGrange Hospital recently announced that iVantage Health Analytics and the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) recognized Parkview LaGrange as a Performance Leader in Quality and Outcomes for overall excellence. The award is based on the hospital’s top quartile performance among all acute care hospitals in the nation.

Top Performer on Key Quality Measures® by the Joint Commission

Parkview Health today announced seven of its hospitals have been recognized as Top Performer on Key Quality Measures® by The Joint Commission, the leading accreditor of health care organizations in the United States. Parkview Regional Medical Center, Parkview Hospital Randallia, Parkview Ortho, Parkview Whitley, Parkview Huntington, Parkview Wabash and Parkview LaGrange hospitals were recognized as part of The Joint Commission’s 2015 annual report “America’s Hospitals: Improving Quality and Safety.”

National Surgical Quality Improvement Program

PRMC

The American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP®) has recognized Parkview Regional Medical Center (PRMC) as one of 52 participating hospitals to have achieved meritorious outcomes for surgical patient care in 2014. PRMC is the only hospital in Indiana to receive this international distinction based on outcomes for inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures.

Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals, iVantage Hospital Strength Index

Parkview LaGrange Hospital

Parkview LaGrange Hospital has received distinction as one of the Top 100 critical access hospitals in 2014 according to the iVantage Hospital Strength Index (HSI). HSI scores reflect the hospital’s performance based on publicly available data as compared to all other U.S. critical access hospitals. The ranking rates each hospital’s overall performance using composite scores in the areas of risk, value and performance across nine pillars including the HSI, Inpatient Market Share, Outpatient Market Share, Population Risk, Cost, Charge, Quality, Outcomes, Patient Perspectives and Financial Stability.

Parkview Health’s Information Services received the Health Care’s Most WiredTM award from Hospitals & Health Networks in the year 2014. Hospitals & Health Networks is the flagship publication of the American Hospital Association. Most Wired hospitals meet a set of rigorous criteria across four operational categories: infrastructure, business and administrative management, clinical quality and safety and clinical integration. These hospitals also have made tremendous gains by using IT services to reduce the likelihood of medical errors.

The American Nurses Association’s (ANA) National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators® (NDNQI®) has recognized Parkview Whitley Hospital with the Award for Outstanding Nursing Quality for a Community Hospital in the year 2013. The NDNQI is the nation’s most comprehensive database of nursing performance measures, and the award recognizes hospitals that improve patient outcomes and maintain high job satisfaction among nurses. Parkview Whitley was one of only six hospitals recognized out of 1,800 nationwide that report performance measures to ANA’s NDNQI.

Get with the Guidelines® – Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award

American Heart Association/American Stroke Association The American Heart Association has recognized the Parkview Stanley Wissman Stroke Center for high quality care for stroke patients. The stroke center received the Get With The Guidelines® ― Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award, recognizing the high standard of care by physicians, nurses, therapists and other co-workers that surpassed national guidelines for more than 24 consecutive months. The quick and efficient use of such national guidelines helps reduce disability and save lives. We’ve got a winning team at the stroke center. That’s good for our patients and our community.

Top quartile performer, iVantage Hospital Strength

Parkview LaGrange Hospital

Parkview LaGrange Hospital is the only general acute care hospital in northeast Indiana to have been ranked as a 2012 top quartile performer by iVantage Hospital Strength Indices (HSI) for excellence in quality and patient satisfaction. HSI is the first rating system in the country to include rural as well as urban healthcare providers in its database of 4,441 hospitals. This data-based system uses 56 measures of performance to rate market strength, value-based strength and financial strength and will be used nationwide as a tool for benchmarking and setting goals under health reform.
