FREE Community Forum on Lung Cancer

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in American men and women, claiming more lives than breast, colon and prostate cancers combined. Learn more about this disease through presentations by:

  • Shawn Kidder, DO, Parkview Physicians Group – Family Medicine
    Signs and symptoms of lung cancer; diagnostic testing
  • Anita DeSelm, health educator, Cancer-Free Lungs
    Educating teens about the dangers of tobacco use
    DeSelm will also share reflections on her personal experience with lung cancer, through her daughter’s 
    battle with the disease.
  • Parkview clinical staff members 
    Types of lung cancer, treatment options and smoking cessation assistance

Other Parkview and community groups will provide information and displays. Light snack provided.

Special art exhibit at the Community Forum
Five pieces of artwork from Lilly Oncology on CanvasSM will be on display. Oncology on Canvas is a nationally touring art exhibition* honoring the physical and emotional journeys people face when confronted by a cancer diagnosis.
